REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Vice President of Finance

Aymium has a production facility in Marquette Michigan and is currently building another near Williams CA. The VP of Finance is based near Washington DC and accounting functions are located near the Michigan plant.

Aymium's comprehensive global intellectual property portfolio provides exclusive rights regarding production, sale, and use of patented process and product technologies. Aymium's innovations are protected by more than 600 issued and pending patents regarding conversion of biomass into high value carbon products that result in higher performance and lower cost products than fossil-based carbons or inferior technologies.

OPPORTUNITY:

Aymium is opening its new biocarbon production facility in Williams, California and needs a Senior Accountant and Financial Analyst.

The position requires a detail-oriented individual willing to "roll up their sleeves" to get things done. This person will be in charge of accounting activities at the Williams plant as well as managing the compliance, reporting, tax, and other aspects of the bond facility that funded the Williams plant. He/she must operate with the utmost integrity and bring effective interpersonal skills to work across different teams.

Daily work location is in Williams, California. There is a potential for a hybrid schedule with fewer days on site each week.

The role currently does not have direct reports.

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for plant financial/accounting planning purposes.
  • Process and record invoices for accounts receivable and accounts payable for Plant
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements for the Plant operations.
  • Lead the day-to-day accounting operations at Williams including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost accounting, and general ledger ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop insightful management reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators related to production costs, inventory management and profitability.
  • Monitor budget performance against all actual results identifying areas for cost optimization and corrective action.
  • Identify and assist in driving continuous improvement opportunities at Williams and across the company.
  • Partner with the Corporate Controller to review and enhance the company's accounting policies, monthly close checklists and ensure effective communication with all appropriate constituencies.
  • Work with Corporate Accounting team on cash management and treasury matters.
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of overseeing and managing the Williams' facility bond debt financing, including forecasting and r monthly reporting and compliance with debt agreements and company bonds.
  • Support the annual audit process and any interim audits ensuring timelines are managed closely and deadlines are met.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting preferred. CPA preferred.

COMPENSATION:

Full Time "exempt" status

Salaried Range: $112,045.00 - $167,972.00

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per CA SB 1162 ("CA Pay Transparency Law"). Base pay information is based on market location.
